This page is where I will let you know about future plans for the charlies bear website and my ideas for further products from charlies bear greeting cards. The website is currently still under construction, but I wanted to make a basic version available as soon as possible, in the hope of starting to raise money for ARC as soon as possible. I hope to be able to enable some form of registration on the site soon, giving members the chance to comment via the site on designs of cards, and to make suggestions about improvements to the site and new designs for cards. I also hope, at some point, to be able to offer cards based on drawings and watercolours by my father, N Graham. I am also always trying to make new card designs, taking photographs to use on cards, creating and perfecting my own artwork and working on new ways of creating cards. I recently had a holiday in the Canary Islands where I was able to take pictures of some beautiful flowers (frangipani, hibiscus, bougainvillea and more), trees and landscapes. I hope some of these will turn out to make lovely cards. Please also remember that you can also send me your own pictures to be made into personalised cards for the people you love. Someone recently told me about a particular place that is very special to her and her husband, and how special it would be for them to receive a card with a picture of that special place. Or a card might feature photos of family members - e.g. the children on a card for the grandparents, or baby photos on cards to say thank you for baby gifts. You could even send me your own artwork to be included on a card - you might not want to go to the expense of buying the appropriate materials and/or equipment to print your own cards. Please be assured that any pictures you send to me will be used exclusively in designs for you personally, and not made available to anyone else. And as always, proceeds will go directly to ARC. |
